Hostel Room on Calle Loiza • Near Ocean Park Beach

Terrible hotel, great location Positive: Great location Negative: No staff on-site (only available by phone). No lockers or place to securely store personal items in shared rooms. No hot water, very little water pressure (shower is a trickle of cold water). Property is under construction which was not disclosed at booking. $50 cleaning fee was not clearly identified on booking.com (it was added when I paid at the hotel - this should have been disclosed from the onset). No gender divided rooms. The shared room is only 2 bed (not disclosed during booking); meaning, as a solo female traveler I’m expected to share an intimate space with a random man - when the room said shared, I thought it meant a large 8-10 bed room like every other hostel I’ve ever stayed at. But instead a random man came in at midnight when I was not clothed because the staff did not tell me someone was coming. Terrible place - I’ll no longer use booking.com
