King Studio w/ Balcony at Ocean Park Beach Club

walkable to ocean park beach, but i would not stay here again based on our experience Positive: The towels (only two provided, along with two wash cloths) are soft and smell nice. The AC works well. The suite is a decent size so you don’t feel cramped and you have a table to work at so you don’t have to do everything from the bed. The wifi worked though slowed as more guests arrived. You are a short walk to ocean park beach and the area near it makes a nice run, plus its right by an outdoor track. The facility itself seemed quiet at night (however, see comments below about surrounding noise). When we mentioned our water issue, the maintenance team was fairly quick to address it. There is no microwave but the fridge is full size. The overall decor theme is a very nice aesthetic. Negative: the parking lot right outside our room seemed to be a popular hang out at night and was consistently NOT quiet. the skylight roof area is extremely loud if there is moderate to heavy rain. i recommend NOT picking the king studio suite. The staff seemed apologetic about issues that arose when we brought them up but preemptive communication was lacking regarding check in/check out which lead to confusion. They were unresponsive when i asked about early check in/luggage drop off. It is in a gated community, but you can only enter and exit the front main gate- somewhat bothersome if you hope to leave and explore on foot from any other direction. It photographs as higher quality than it is. The door to the room doesn’t quite line up, allowing mosquitoes to enter (or their staff had let them in previously). The cooking utensils have dust on them and the bedspread had a small stain. The cabinet in the outdoor bar area is hanging/not aligned and clearly visible but tucked to the side are a bunch of construction materials (also part of our room “view”). The toilet seat does not fit the actual toilet bowl (?). There are no hand towels, coffee filters, paper towels, or hangers. The water stopped working shortly after our arrival and the conditioner bottle fell off the wall. No explanation is provided on how to use the lock on our balcony door. You have a fancy sounding “balcony” in your “king studio suite” with a soaking tub but what it directly overlooks is mostly a supermarket parking lot and an area of trash/construction materials. There is no real privacy. The wall separating you from the parking lot is not very high and if someone scaled that wall, they’d be on your balcony. On top of that, there was rain and our roof leaked in multiple locations, including onto the bed and the area my open luggage was at. Given how many birds we can hear on the roof (and that are likely stooling on the roof), this felt very unsanitary.

With simple upgrades this could be a wonderful stay. Positive: The aesthetic, the outside and pool area looks exactly like the pictures. Negative: The patio door on the first floor doesn’t lock or stay closed, we had problems with the AC unit switched rooms then had no TV remote. The doors are thin so you can hear everything. We left 2 days into our 5 day vacation and stayed somewhere else.

My stay at Couoles Suites was decent. I like that its gated at the front by not at the actual property. The gate at the Positive: I like that its gated. Negative: What I didn't like about the property is that it was a bit difficult to find the main entrance. My King Studio room sliding door wasn't locking so i felt a bit unsafe. Everywhere I go I had to take my personal belongings and leave everything else in the room. The Ac was super cold at the beginning but began to blow like a fan which made the room hot.The balcony is nice but could clean up a bit.
